Policy Statement Footy Femmes acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance, and complies with best practice and requirements.

3. Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers, and other agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare.

Practices Recruitment: All staff and volunteers working with children undergo thorough background checks and receive training on child protection.

Reporting: We have a clear procedure for reporting any concerns or allegations directly to the founders.

Education: Regular training and updates on child protection are provided to ensure that all staff and volunteers understand their responsibilities.

Environment: We maintain a safe physical environment for children, with risk assessments conducted for all activities and facilities.

Responding to Concerns: Footy Femmes will ensure that any concerns for a child’s welfare are reported promptly and appropriately in line with our procedures. We will support children, staff, and volunteers by taking all allegations seriously and responding to them promptly and appropriately.

Review and Monitoring: This policy will be reviewed a year after development and then every three years, or in the following circumstances:
